Cleansing is a three-step process using SHAREcat to improve our customers’ material master information. The first step is an initial analysis of existing information to identify discrepancies and recommend a cleansing process.
The second step is to establish a data structure (classification scheme) which is key to establishing quality information. SHAREcat’s well-defined and extensive classification can be used here as is or in combination with customer schemes if they exist. Existing information will then be “placed” into this scheme.
Once the second step is performed all gaps where information is missing will become visible. This will be the basis to embark on step three which is designed to close the gaps identified against a scope agreed with our customer. The enhanced information is then delivered in to the customer’s material master according to an agreed plan.
